World Food and Wine
If you’re interested in world food and wine, it might seem a world tour is in order, but it’s not necessary to feed your passion for good food and wine with travel.
Certainly you can take your search for good food and even better wine on the road, but for those who don’t have that option or don’t want to, there are simple options for keeping the international flavor right at home.
First, the wine. If you love good wines from countries other than the U.S., consider shopping for wine somewhere other than the grocery store. Many of the staff has knowledge of the wines the store sells and can help you pick a good wine to go with your international meal. If you have a Trader Joe’s grocery store near you, it also sells a wide variety of wines from a wide variety of international locales.
Looking for quality food of the world? There are a number of websites that can help you either plan an international meal to make at home, or can send you all the fixins’ so you don’t have to make it yourself. For some great recipe ideas, start with Epicurious and All Recipes, both of which have good recipe search functions, recipes rated by home cooks, and recipe origins.
Finally, if you seek home delivery of international foods, you have a few options: you could have your local grocery store make a delivery from their world food aisle, or you could seek out delivery from a more remote location.
