Wine Racking Systems
There are many different wine racking systems to choose from. You must first decide where the racks will be – in a residential wine cellar, on display in your home, in a restaurant or store. Then you must decide what functionality your wine racking system needs to have – will it be used as a tasting table, purely for display, or for wine storage.
The most common wine racking system for the home cellar is modular redwood racking systems. For restaurant or store displays more expensive custom racking system is created. Commercial wine cellars use wire racking systems for stability and functionality instead of display and design.
Wine racking systems are diverse in their size and shape. The wine bottle grid is the most popular and holds individual wine bottles. The diamond cube holds multiple bottles in each section although the bottles will be stacked on top of each other. There are wine tasting tables with storage below and a table at waist height. Wine case racks are popular so each individual bottle does not need to be removed from the case to be stored in the cellar.
